Q: What are Lamcel® panels be used for?
A: Lamcel® panels are used for interior ceilings, walls, and entrances. It can also be used for exterior cladding and canopies. It is also highly customizable, so call us to discuss your project – We will try to make your vision come true!


Q: What size do Lamcel® panels come in?
A: Lamcel® panels are available in any size up to 152,4 cm x 365,76 cm.


Q: What kind of finishes are available?
A: The most common metal finishes are aluminum (painted or anodized), stainless steel (#4, #8, textured, bead blasted), bronze, copper and zinc. For interior use, as well as the metal finishes there are over 100 different natural wood veneers available.


Q: What do Lamcel® panels weigh?
A: Lamcel® panels are very light, weighing as little as 4,88 kg per square cm for aluminum.


Q: Are complete Lamcel® systems available?
A: Lamcel® comes in a variety of standard systems, such as our own patent pending Lamcel Torsion-Lok® ceiling system, “Z” clip wall panel system, “Zipper” perimeter fastening system and more.


Q: Do I have to choose from one of these standard Lamcel® systems?
A: Lamcel® is a highly custom product. These standard systems are only suggestions for the most common applications available. Most Lamcel® projects are completely custom.


Q: Are Lamcel® panels fire rated?
A: Lamcel® panels meet a wide range of fire specifications. Certain models are rated as incombustible according to the ASTM E84 Flame Spread Test with flame spread and smoke developed to zero each. Furthermore, the aluminum honeycomb line of panels has received the MEA certification for New York City.


Q: What is the maximum grid for a suspension ceiling system with Lamcel® panels?
A: Due to the high rigidity and flatness of Lamcel® panels, large grids are possible for suspension ceiling systems. In a square configuration, grids of up to 152,4cm X 152,4cm are easily achieved. For rectangular grids, sizes of up to 152,4cm x 365,7cm are possible.


Q: Can Lamcel® panels be used vertically for wall applications?
A: Lamcel® panels are very well suited to be used as vertical wall panels, for interior or exterior walls, through a wide assortment of attachment clips, rails and joinery. They are especially well suited for Rainscreen applications.


Q: Can Lamcel® panels be used in floor applications, as a walking surface?
A: Lamcel® panels can be designed to meet a wide range of Architectural and Structural properties. There are models of Lamcel® panels that are designed to be used as walkable floor panels in a variety of grid sizes.


Q: What is the range of thicknesses available with Lamcel® panels?
A: Lamcel® panels are availalble from a minimum thickness of 6.35mm to a maximum of 50.8mm.


Q: For exterior applications (Fascias, Soffits, Curtain Wall), what is the maximum wind load for which Lamcel® panels can be designed?
A: Lamcel® panels have excellent strength properties and have been designed to withstand design wind loads as high as 119mbar in sizes up to 152,4cm x 365,76cm.


Q: Do Lamcel® panels have any insulating properties?
A: Lamcel® panels can be designed with very high insulating properties of at least an R value of 5 per 25.4mm of panel thickness, making it versatile for use in skylights, roofs, windows, etc...
